Technology in Freight Forwarding: Where is it Going? | Freight Forwarder’s World Magazine

Welcome to the fourth issue of Exports News' Freight Forwarders' World Magazine! We are excited to share some fascinating articles with you that cover new technology and how the logistics industry is changing. We hope you find this issue as interesting and insightful as we do.

The first article discusses several of the projects and initiatives that have been brought about by The International Air Transport Association (IATA) to promote digitalization across the air logistics industry in the last two decades. Discover where the industry stands and where things are going.

The second delves into the “eCommerce revolution” and how eCommerce logistics is the latest big driver of change in logistics and physical distribution networks. We discuss how things have changed over the past decades, as well as where the industry is moving.

The third is an exploration of how the logistics industry and freight forwarders in general can better market themselves online to stand out amongst the competition. In a world that is increasingly online and competitive, this is integral to success.

The fourth and final article discusses the Internet of Things and the potential it has. It’s already been shaking things up in the logistics sector, but we explore what exactly is next.
